The Metro Louisville Stamp Society is one of a number of Kentucky stamp clubs and was organized to promote fraternity among the stamp collectors of Louisville and the surrounding area. We are a chapter member of the American Philatelic Association.
Meetings: DATE & TIME: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. Socializing begins at about 7:00pm, business meeting at 7:30pm and program shortly after that. PLACE: AMERICAN LEGION, Zachary Taylor Post #180, 4610 Shelbyville Rd, (Behind Frischs). Membership dues are $20.00/year or $25.00/year for mailed newsletters. We also offer a Youth membership for $10.00/year for those ages 15 and under. PROGRAMS:
Tuesday, September 12th 7:30pm Program: The Stamps of Montenegro German Dillon will be talking about the interesting stamps of this small country throughout its history. Tuesday, September 26th 7:30pm Program: Stamp Search The first 20 stamps are free. Anything over 20 are now 10 cents apiece. STAMPS FOR THE WOUNDED PROJECT: Don't forget to bring your extra stamps, stamp supplies, albums, and stamp collecting accessories to our meeting on the 12th. If possible, keep foreign and U.S. stamps separate, as requested by the organization. The club will accumulate and mail these at club expense.
